Whether it’s a jaw-dropping bluff or an epic meltdown after a bad beat, poker streamers know how to keep you on the edge of your seat. They’re not just masters at the tables; they’re entertainers, mixing hilarious commentary, quirky one-liners, and the occasional live chat showdown with rivals. And let’s be honest, who doesn't love a good "I can’t believe that just happened" moment?

Streamers who create poker content show themselves playing poker, talking about poker, and even telling a few stories about their experiences. The interactive nature of the streams has created a loyal following and created a group of players who are better known as streamers than actual poker players. 

Lex Veldhuis

Alexander "Lex" Veldhuis started out as a professional StarCraft player who decided to switch games after meeting French poker player Bertrand Grospellier. From 2005 onward, Veldhuis has been a fixture in online and live poker. His success at the tables has seen him earn over $700,000. However, he has achieved far more as a streamer, particularly on the live video streaming service Twitch. Jumping on the platform around the same time it was released in 2011, Veldhuis is known for his quips directed at himself and other players.

Veldhuis is also known for being outspoken at the table, which can get him in trouble, but he is content gold for viewers who like a bit of fun in their poker streams. Veldhuis remains one of the top poker streamers on Twitch, thanks to his persona and entertaining antics at the poker tables. According to TwitchMetrics, As of February 2024, he is ranked sixth in terms of overall numbers of followers, with over 318,000. At the same time, he is second in terms of total viewership hours. Lex Veldhuis is worth checking out if you like a bit of comedy mixed in with your poker.

Ben "Spraggy" Spragg

A British online poker player, Ben Spragg, under the name "Spraggy", has offered a mix of content showing him playing low stakes, ring games, and tournaments since 2012. After grinding out in ring games, Spragg moved to tournament poker, gaining a big following after winning a $7.50 tournament. 

His humor and good nature in the face of the most soul-crushing bad beats are excellent content, and they have made him quite a few fans over the years. It’s worth watching, if only for tips on emulating his staunch and unwavering calmness regardless of the situation. According to Twitch metrics, as of February 2024, Spraggy is ranked number 1 for most total viewership hours.

Doug Polk

Few people have ever achieved what Doug Polk has in poker. Aside from an enviable career at the tables, which has seen him amass over $10 million in winnings and various other accolades, including three World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelets, he is also a top-notch content creator. 

Polk is known for his poker skills and unique perspective on the game, making his streams entertaining and educational. He first started streaming his games on Twitch in 2016 and soon moved to releasing informative videos and courses on poker strategy. He is also an expert in game theory and analysis. Polk's content offers a great mix of humorous poker content and informative videos to help improve your own skills. Anything he has released is worth a watch.

Jason Somerville

Known as "jcarverpoker" on Twitch, Jason Somerville has been streaming content for over a decade. He started posting content in 2011 with the YouTube series Eating Cake. Somerville followed Eating Cake with videos telling the story of how his poker career progressed throughout the years. 

His most famous creation though, is the Twitch series Run It Up, where he turns $50 into $10,000. Somerville has built a solid following thanks to his expert analysis of the game, and helpful gameplay tips. He hasn't been properly active with new content in years, but many of his recordings are still available on YouTube and Twitch.

Matt Staples

A Canadian poker player and PartyPoker Ambassador, Matt Staples joined PartyPoker in 2019 and is known for his mid and high stakes multi table tournament content. A skilled poker player with modest winnings to his name, his most significant win to date is when he famously won a $150,000 weight loss bet against Bill Perkins. Most of his content has a mix of strategy and gameplay tips worth listening to at least once.

Alejandro "PapoMC" Lococo

A rarity in the poker world, Alejandro Lococo is a rapper, streaming, card-playing juggernaut. He has over $2.6 million in poker winnings to his name and a wide range of content on his Twitch channel. Highlights include Papo's Talk Show, a poker home game series featuring his friends, including freestylers, influencers, and celebrities. Lococo also has videos offering educational content for poker games. His poker content is hidden among streams of video games and other topics, but if you can find it, the videos are worth watching for the entertainment alone. 

Fintan "EasyWithAces" Hand

Irish poker player Fintan Hand is another player with mediocre success at the poker tables, but a solid following online for his streaming content. As of February 2024, Hand is ranked 14 in the poker player TwitchMetrics, with over 132,000 followers. 

Most of his content is informative because it shows his thought process while playing hands. Some are also comedy gold. One famous clip in particular shows a comeback for the ages and is titled "Trapping is for Nerds." You might not learn as much as watching other Twitch streamers, but you will definitely get a laugh or two from watching Fintan Hand.

Bert “girafganger7” Stevens

Unique is the best way to describe Bert "girafganger7" Stevens. The professional poker player offers content with some great reactions while playing. In one of his other famous videos, he reveals his online poker playing setup, a haphazard creation that looks like it's in a crawl space inside someone's roof. It's hard to know if he was joking or genuinely serious about playing inside such a dingy confined space. 

That's the fun of watching Stevens streams. They're unpredictable. The Belgian is a character who lives in his own world. Maybe you will pick up some good tips for playing, for the most part, Bert "girafganger7" Stevens is just entertaining to watch, which is excellent in a game that can get too serious sometimes.

Elias "ZerosPoker" Gutierrez

Elias “ZerosPoker” Gutierrez is an up-and-coming talent in the poker streaming scene. He’s known for his impressive gameplay and sharp strategy in both tournaments and cash games. Whether it’s an intense battle at the tables or a deep dive into poker strategy, ZerosPoker brings a fresh perspective to the poker world, attracting viewers with his calm demeanor and sharp wit. If you’re looking for high-level poker play with a relaxed vibe, this streamer’s one to follow.

Kevin "Kmart" Martin

Kevin “Kmart” Martin has earned his reputation in both the poker and streaming worlds. A seasoned poker player with a strong background in cash games, Kmart provides viewers with solid poker strategy, as well as a down-to-earth, relatable personality. His streams are a mix of educational content and engaging commentary, perfect for poker enthusiasts looking to improve their game. Plus, he’s known for his fun, lighthearted approach that makes learning poker feel like a good time.

Jaime Staples

Jaime Staples is another name you can’t ignore when it comes to poker streaming. Having been involved in the online poker scene for years, Jaime offers a ton of valuable insights with a focus on strategy and mental game.
